‘RemoteLive’ concert to bring Sarah McLachlan keystrokes to Cordogan’s Pianoland in Geneva

Cordogan’s Pianoland in Geneva will present a special “RemoteLive” private event by Yamaha featuring Grammy-winning, singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan on Saturday evening, Sept. 29, live from her studio in Vancouver, Canada.

As she plays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (Central Time), her exact keystrokes and pedal movements will be transmitted live to a networked Yamaha Disklavier-enabled piano at Cordogan’s Pianoland. The instrument receiving the broadcast is actually being played in real time by the hands of the performer thousands of miles away.

Admission is free. To book a reservation, e-mail pcoleman@chicagopianos.com or call Pat at Cordogan’s at (630) 584-5000 before Sept. 24.

Since McLachlan began her career in 1988, with her debut album, “Touch,” her hits have included “Angel,” “I Will Remember You” and “Building a Mystery.”

In contrast with YouTube and television, Yamaha’s “RemoteLive” concert enables the broadcast of a truly live piano performance — complete with every artistic nuance — simultaneously on a real grand piano at a remote location.
