Stanley Cup-style parade for the Olympic Canadian team

April 23rd 2010
It starts with a trip to Parliament Hill in Ottawa on April 22, then moves to Montreal the following day for the noon-time parade and an evening gala at the Bell Centre, where several of Canada’s top music acts will perform, including Sarah McLachlan, Tom Cochrane, Ginette Reno and the pop group Simple Plan.

Canon Canada lunch

McLachlan sang for the next hour and twenty minutes about heartbreak, disappointment, betrayal and love, the climax of Canon Canada’s luxurious, invitation-only gala. The company announced today it will be opening a new Vancouver Business Solutions office and the elegant gala luncheon that began with mimosas and ended with iced wine brought the mayor, Maelle Ricker, McLachlan and some four hundred business people together to spend three hours as guests of Canon Canada.

Honour House is a care facility for first responders and recovering Canadian Forces personnel. Sarah performed at the gala ball at the Sheraton Wall Centre in downtown Vancouver, where tables go for $2,500 per table and De Genova hopes to raise $300,000 in one night.

“PSA Campaign Launches During Nat Geo WILD’s First Annual Big Cat Week Beginning Monday, December 6, 2010”
Intercut with the celebrities shouting “Cause an uproar!” and images of lions, leopards, cougars and tigers flashing teeth, the PSA calls for viewers to join National Geographic’s Big Cats Initiative, a long-term commitment to help find solutions that will stop big cats from disappearing forever. McLachlan, an avid supporter of animal welfare, narrates the PSA. This is the first in a series of PSAs expected to launch over the next year. Individual Big Cats PSAs highlighting the plight of specific species will also feature the celebrities as well as Nat Geo WILD talent Casey Anderson, Mireya Mayor, Beverly and Dereck Joubert, and Brady Barr.
