Sarah McLachlan to dazzle at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

The city of festivals and carnivals and the hub of jubilations, Abu Dhabi never failed to entertain and impress its visitors and residents. Now as the Formula one caravan plans to enter the venue for the last race of the season, the capital of UAE is ready to rock the race fans once again.

The Grammy award-winning singer Sarah McLachlan has just been announced to grace the Official Ball of the event with her melodious voice and charming personality.

The extravagant event would mark the formal opening of the 2010 Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the second race to be held on the soil. Sarah has been already reserved by the race organisers as the lead singer of the luxurious evening that would be studded with an array of stars.

John Lickrish, the Managing Director of Flash Entertainment, the organisers of the event, while talking to the media earlier today said, “There will be an exciting line up of celebrity guests attending, live performances from international artists and a charity auction”.

Last year Abu Dhabi hosted its debut race, which was a big success, despite the fact that there is no home team or driver in the sport. Even now, when many of the venues are uncertain for their survival it stays safe and secure as they are funding FIA quite hugely.

The 2009’s opening ceremony was also hosted in a very grand and elegant manner. Many dazzling stars glorified and hyped the evening including Janet Jackson, Neve Campbell, Marissa Tomei and Jeremy Irons.

Similarly, a very extraordinary event is expected to be showcased this year as well. Though the entire guest list has not been revealed yet but having said that Sarah would be taking the stage is enough to keep magnetising people for this amazing night.

The Canadian is a famous musician, singer and songwriter. She is also famous for being multi-instrumentalist, a great painter as well as an executive producer. The 42- year-old has kept increasing her followers with every passing year.

Now if you don’t want to miss a majestic evening, expected to be remembered for a long time, be quick to book your seat as you might not get one as the dates come closer. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on 14th of November.

The tickets would surely be costly as the VIP tables rate as high as DHA 45,000, but it would be worth it. Moreover, the money raised from the event is also to be donated to The Naked Heart Foundation.
