What is Your Favorite Saying.

Post by WolfmanJack » Tue Feb 16, 2010 5:30 pm

In life as we know it, we come across many situations that either pass us by or pull us in to adjust our time and thoughts. Therefore, we either take care of matters at hand or deal it to someone else. That is how we were brought up and the way we are in general. We all have that special saying to get by or be noticed in any event. So what is yours. Mine is, Look where you walk and you will be amazed at the results. Always prepare yourself for the challenge at hand and with the proper energy and conviction, you will do well, at least in your eyes.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

Oh wait...
Fool me thrice... just why the hell am I so damn gullible? Shame on you for making me say "thrice".

At this point of my life, it's this one, from literature:

"L’amour d’un être humain pour un autre, c’est peut-être l’épreuve la plus difficile pour chacun de nous, c’est le plus haut témoignage de nous-même ; l’oeuvre suprême dont toutes les autres ne sont que les préparations."
(Rainer Maria Rilke, Lettres à un jeune poète)

They translate it by:
For one human being to love another human being: that is perhaps the most difficult task that has been entrusted to us, the ultimate task, the final test and proof, the work for which all other work is merely preparation.
(Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters To A Young Poet)

Bravo Karine, A good time to put that in. And so true. We are always put to the test each and every day. :)
