Once again congratulations

Thank you very much!Quincy wrote:Hello Karine, I know I've been absent for quite a while, but I see that congratulations are in order. You must be very, very proud of your achievements and I hope that you feel all of the hard work that you've put in is worth it. I'm going to have a sit down and go through the board and catch up with your plans, (and catch up with everything that's been happening!)
Once again congratulations![]()

Next week, I will begin the correction (I'm too busy this weekend) and I can't wait to see if they will succeed.

I'm sure they will do well under your tutelage, Karine.
I thought about you, Karine, when I heard about that shooting yesterday afternoon. I wondered if you were in class. I'm glad to hear you weren't nearby. We have gotten used to hearing about this sort of thing in the U.S., but I had thought that if there were anywhere safe from random acts of violence it was Canada. It seems that these acts have come to signify life everywhere in this modern, but increasingly less civilized world. I hope everything is back to normal, whatever that might mean in this age of uncertainty. Take care of yourself.Karine wrote:It was quite a hard day yesterday in Ottawa. I was at home, fortunately, but the university was in lockdown for many hours. The university is close to the parliament:

I hope everything will be okay today. Yesterday, in the evening, I sent an email to my students to tell them that I would be there today in the afternoon, as usual, and to give them the phone number of the counselling service of the university (in case they need some psychological help).
It's midterm week this week, so you can imagine that most of my students were there yesterday, sitting on the floor in their classrooms, in the dark, waiting until the university announce the end of the lockdown. It was surely a stressful event.
Well, the day after that event, my class was half empty. I hope everything will be fine tomorrow (I'm seeing my students twice a week).Islandflyer wrote:I thought about you, Karine, when I heard about that shooting yesterday afternoon. Have a wonderful vacation, Carol.CarolCiola wrote:Sorry to hear all the story about the shooting, Karine.. =/ I'm glad you're okay!
Today is the 1st day of my vacation!! I'm very very happyI'll go back to work only in December 2nd, so now I can finally take some rest and have some free time.. I kind of assumed a senior position on my work team, my manager was fired around a month ago, so my supervisor let me responsible for the Quality team (two other guys, besides me). I had a lot of work since then, didn't stop any second of my day! But I'm enjoying it alot ^^
I pretend to make a small travel at the second half of November, but I can surely find a LAN house near just to know how was your Sarah meeting, Karine!
