Post by biancadantas » Tue Feb 09, 2010 7:00 am

This is the place where we can talk about that Sarah's song (s) that you love but feel it's underestimated....

I'll list some to begin:
Trust (from Touch)
Back Door Man (from Solace)
Circle (from FTE)
Black and White (from Surfacing)
Gloomy Sunday (Rarities....)
Ol'55 (The Freedom Sessions)
'Cause I can't be the one you wanted me to be....'

Ben's Song from Touch... it's either the last track on everyone's list of favorite songs from that album or it's the first one "thrown out"

Almost every song from Touch, especially Trust and Steaming. IThe latter is Sarah's best tune imho and I'm really annoyed that it was criminally left out of her set lists since '92. At least Vox fared better...
Black & White, Answer, & Circle are underrated too.

Wait doesn't fit in the "not so famous" list, it's definitely a popular track amongst fans and it always sounds great live. She would have stopped playing it/left it out a long time ago.

IWNFY (another popular track) endured 3 album tours, I wouldn't be surprised if Wait gets shafted this time around.

Back Door Man and Trust and as a third, I would say blue from rarities and b-sides.

Definitely "Back door man", "Do what you have to do" and "Full of Grace".....and let's slip in "The Waiting/Won't let anything" for good measure. I know many people won't have heard of the last song, but if there was ever a missed opportunity, that's it!!

i think SARAH underrates all songs from "touch." it's pretty obvious since she doesn't play them anymore with the exception of "vox" from mirrorball... if i were her, i think it would be fun for her (nostalgic to her earlier days), and for us fans, to bring back a song or two from "touch" during the tour.

i wonder what "ben's song" would sound like now? a guitar/piano acoustic version of "vox" would make me melt... and i always liked "sad clown." i know some people want to hear "steaming."

i love the answers here! i feel 'trust' may be the most underrated song. just so good. songs i would also love to see back on the setlist: steaming, backdoor man, full of grace, plenty, do what you have to do, lost, the waiting, what lies beyond....wuthering heights, that soundcheck recording is just a big tease!
